Walking further from the Cathedral Square went down the street Ivan Franko we go to the “House of the lions,” this pompous building of the former Palace of Justice.
Her author – a famous Czech architect Josef Hlavka, on its projects in Chernivtsi built not one building. The house is decorated with colorful ceramic brick that was made especially for the palace, and ceramic inserts. The main facade crowned with statues of the goddess of justice Themis, the goddess of punishment and Nemyzidy. The main entrance is “guarded” by lies and injustice two lions. Construction of the building lasted from 1904 to 1906 years. This is one of the best buildings of the city, from which soothes breathing.
